Bugs Bunny as Officer Bugs admonishes Witch Hazel...
"Shame on you, Granny, Roastin' children when they should
be in school..!" With Hazel replies..."Everyone should have
a hobby..." The original drawing for this edition was
created by renowned animation artist and director Chuck
Jones. Opening in theaters nationwide on July 24, 1954
'Bewitched Bunny' borrows from the Brothers Grimm tale
of Hansel and Gretel (as well as Snow White). Other Warner
Bros. talents in Jones’ unit included Mike Maltese, Lloyd
Vaughan, Ken Harris, Ben Washam and the inimitable
Maurice Noble.
Jones said "When she went out, she put on bloomers and
high-heeled shoes, which I wanted to look like a drawing
rather than a three-dimensional form.”
