One of the great icons of the animation world, Walter Lantz headed up the Walter Lantz Cartoon division of Universal Studios for over 40 years, supervising all productions until the final year of episodes in 1972. In addition to creating Woody Woodpecker and Chilly Willy, two of the world's most recognizable characters, many of the great animation legends worked for or with Lantz over the years including Preston Blair, Ben Hardaway, Tex Avery, Dick Lundy, Grim Natwick, Hugh Harman, Shamus Culhane, Jack Hanna, Michael Maltese, Daws Butler, and even Chuck Jones.

This incredible hand-painted limited edition cel features Chilly in his usual role of pilfering fish out from under the watchful eye of the watchdog. It celebrates the wonderful personality of Chilly and Lantz's great contribution to the history of animation.
