The Little Mermaid was Disney's last feature animated film completed in the traditional hand-drawn and hand-painted methods of production - and it is considered by authors and historians to be one of Disney's modern-day classics rivaling many of their past films in personality, story and animation qualities.

Inspired by the art created for the Walt Disney Studios 1989 film, this edition is a Limited Edition Hand-painted Cel created by carefully consulting the original animation drawings that were used in the production of the animated feature. The lithographic background captures the colorful feeling conveyed by the actual production backgrounds.
